Hugh Nolan, 92 Bowery Street, received word last night of the death of his mother, Mrs. Ellen Agnes (Durkin) Nolan, 83, widow of Michael J. Nolan, who resided with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Crowl, Hyattsville, Md., the past five years. She became ill three weeks ago and was taken to Prince George General Hospital, Cheverly, last Friday. A native of Eckhart Mines, she is also survived by two other sons, John J. Nolan, Mt. Savage and Lawrence A. Nolan, Frostburg; a sister, Mrs. Patrick F. Drum, Eckhart; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body arrived here this morning and was taken to the home of her son, D. Hugh Nolan. a requiem mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Interment will take place in the church cemetery."
