O'Brien, 65, foreman at the Luke plant of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company, died this morning at his home, 72 West Hampshire Street, Piedmont., He had been bedfast for a week. A native and life resident of Piedmont, Mr. O'Brien was a son of the late John and Bridget (Graney) O'Brien. He had been employed at the Luke plant for 51 years and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Agnes (Curran) O'Brien; five children, Brother Firmilian John, Ammendale and Albert, Thomas, Louise and Margaret O'Brien, all at home; and three brothers, P.J. O'Brien, Luke; William O'Brien, Grafton, W. Va.; and Thomas O'Brien, Piedmont. The body will be at the residence tomorrow morning. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday {1 Jul 1947} at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Westernport. Interment will be in the church cemetery."
