"Cumberland Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, 16 May 1962: "
Piedmont-Mrs. Mary S. O'Brien, 222 West Fairview Street, died last night 
in Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, where she was admitted Saturday. The 
widow of Thomas O'Brien, she was born in Oakland, a daughter of the late 
Thomas and Bridget (Welsh) Sarsfield and the last surviving member of that 
family. A number of nephews and nieces are the only survivors. The body is 
at the residence where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. A requiem mass 
will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 
Westernport by Rev. Gerard Kenney, a cousin. Interment will be in the 
parish cemetery."
