"Sarge" O'Brien, 79, died yesterday at his home at 222 West Fairview Street following an illness of a year. Born at Keyser, he was a son of the late John and Bridget (Graney) O'Brien. A former freight conductor for the B & O Railroad, Mr. O'Brien had retired about three years ago after more than 50 years employment with the company. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport and Mt. Division Lodge 267 Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary (Sarsfield) O'Brien, and two brothers, P.J. O'Brien, Luke and William O'Brien, Grafton. The body will be at the residence. A requiem mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Westernport.
