Va..: William L. O"Brien, 80, of 108 West Wilford Street, a native of Piedmont, died last night in City Hospital where he had been in critical condition since Wednesday. He retired 16 years ago after having worked as an engineer for the B & O Railroad for 49 years. He was born August 11, 1879 in Piedmont, W.Va., the son of the late John and Bridget (Graney) O'Brien. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate (Gerkin) O'Brien and several nieces and nephews. Mr. O'Brien was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, the parish Holy Name Society and The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. The body is at the Bartlett Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited by the Holy Name Society tomorrow at 8 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 p.m. (sic) in St. Augustine's Church by Rev.
