The Republican, Oakland, Maryland, Oct 1921: 
"Edward O'Donnell died at his home in Loch Lynn Heights, 
on Sunday, October 16th, his death being due to the 
infirmities of old age.  He was born near Westport, 
County Mayo, Ireland, in 1833 and came to the United 
States in 1862. He located at Terra Alta, W. Va., and 
was married to Margaret Hoban in 1865.  He moved to 
Mountain Lake Park in 1884 and engaged in farming.  He 
is survived by his wife and the following named children: 
M. F. O'Donnell, of Piedmont, W. Va.; John O'Donnell, of 
Nogales, Arizona; Mrs. C. B. Wamsley, of Anadarko, 
Oklahoma; Mrs. Margaret Martini, and Misses Katherine 
and Mary O'Donnell, and Edward R. O'Donnell, of Mountain 
Lake Park.  The funeral of the deceased took place on 
Tuesday from St. Peter's Catholic church in Oakland, the 
Rev. Father Connell, pastor, conducting the service.  
Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery here."
