“The Herald” Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 12 Nov 1915: 
“Helen, six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Patrick, of Westernport, died 
Tuesday evening, Nov. 9, 1915, at the Allegany Hospital, Cumberland, where she had 
been a patient for several days, from Bright’s disease. The remains were brought 
to the home here on Wednesday afternoon. The funeral service will be held this 
afternoon from the home. The little girl was very attractive, and her death comes 
as a great sorrow to the family.”
