The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, Thur 1 Dec 1938: 
"Funeral services for Mrs. Isabelle Ternent Phillips, 76, who died 
Tuesday morning, will be held at her late home on East Main street, 
Lonaconing, at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. Interment will be in 
Oak Hill cemetery, Lonaconing. Surviving are her husband, John S. 
Phillips, florist; four sons, Arthur, James, Frank, Lonaconing and 
Walter Phillips, Westernport."
