Cumberland News, Cumberland, Maryland, Fri 12 Jan 1968: 
"Mt. Savage--Mrs. Loretta Martha Phillips, 70, Southampton, 
N. Y., died Monday in a hospital there.  Born in Mt. Savage, 
she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Lynch) 
Moran.  Her husband, Wendell Phillips, preceded her in death.  
Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Dorothy Adam, Sag Harbor, 
N. Y., and Mrs. Eleanor Grimaldi, California; four sons, 
Thomas, Robert and Joseph Phillips, all of Southampton and 
James Phillips, Syracuse N. Y.; a brother, Edward Moran, and 
a sister, Mrs. Edith Lancaster, both of Mt. Savage.  A 
requiem mass and interment were held in Southampton yesterday."
