MRS. REBECCA PTTMAN
HANCOCK – Mrs. Rebecca Pittman, 76, widow of McCauley Pittman, died Wednesday 
at her home in nearby Big Cove Tannery, Pa.
A native and lifelong resident of Fulton County, Pa., she was a daughter of the 
late Jacob C. and Rachael (Culler) Hewett.  Mrs. Pittman was a member of the 
Rehobeth Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Kathryn C. Divens, Knobsville, Pa.; Mrs. 
Jessie R. Mellott, McConnellsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Aura L. Souders and Mrs. 
Bernice I Miller, both of Hancock; a son, George W. Pittman, Big Pool; a 
sister, Mrs. Jessie Cavender, Maysville, N. J.; a brother, J. Calvin Hewett, 
Cumberland; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The body will be at the Grove Funeral Home here after 7 p.m. today and at the 
residence after noon tomorrow.  The body will be taken to Rehobeth Church at 1 
p.m. Sunday for services at 2 p.m.  Rev. Benjamin Merhlin will be assisted by 
Rev. T. P. Garland and interment will be in the church cemetery.
