The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 3 Jul 1896: 
"The funeral of Mr. Richard Pugh, Sr., who died at Frostburg, 
occurred here on Saturday. The remains were brought here here 
on the 10:40 train and were received by the Barton Lodge No.  
94, I.O.O.F., of which the deceased was a member. Interment 
was made at the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Mr. Pugh was about 58 
years of age and leaves a widow and several children to mourn 
their loss."
