"Cumberland Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, 29 Nov 1919: 
"Mrs. Emma Reagan, aged 40 years, wife of Edward Reagan, died early 
this morning at 12:30 o'clock at her home in Mount Savage. She had 
been bedfast six weeks. In the spring she was a patient at Allegany 
Hospital for 11 weeks. Mrs. Reagan was a daughter of the late Anthony 
Gerdeman of Cumberland and previous to her marriage in September 1916, 
had taught in Cumberland schools for 17 years. She was last a teacher 
at Pennsylvania Avenue school. She won a high place in the estimation 
of school officials and patrons for her efficiency. Besides her 
husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mary Dorothy Reagan, aged 
two years, her mother, Mrs. Mary Gerdeman, and three brothers, Henry, 
Joseph and Anthony Gerdeman of Cumberland. The funeral will  be held 
Monday morning with burial in SS Peter & Paul's Cemetery."
