Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 12 July 1924: 
"Mrs. Mary C. Reid, (sic-Reed) aged 65, formerly of Luke, 
Md, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. 
L. Byer, 226 Beall street.  She was the wife of the late 
Scott Reid.  The other surviving children are: Mrs. James 
Donahue, Luke; Mrs. William Kelly, Cumberland; Harry Reid, 
Wheeling, and Mrs. William Angle, Westernport.  The funeral 
will be held Monday morning from St. Peter's Catholic 
Church, Westernport, with burial in the church cemetery." 
Note: maiden name Leavy, native of Harpers Ferry.
