GABE S. RICE
MEYERSDALE -- Gabe S. Rice, 61, died yesterday.
Born in Barnardsville, N.C., he was a son of the late Martin and Mitia 
(Williams) Rice.
Surviving are two sons, Gordon Rice, here, and Charles Rice, marion, N.C.; a 
daughter, Miss Patricia Rice, of Florida; five brothers, Ted Rice, Camp Spring, 
Md.; Howard Rice, Blackville, Va.; Raymond, Paul and Richard Rice, Asheville, 
N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Ballard and Miss Itaska Rice, Asheville, and 
eight grandchldren.
The body is at the Leckemy-Price Funeral Home, where friends will be received 
from 2 until 9 p.m.
Interment will be in Weaversville, N.C. on Friday.
The family suggests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to 
the Meyrsdale Volunteer Fire Company.
