"The Frederick Post" Frederick, Maryland, Sun 5 Dec 1914: 
"Lonaconing-August Ricker, Sr., 71 years old, a native of Cresaptown, died Thursday at 
Clarksburg, W. Va., where he moved eight years ago. He is survived by the following 
children: Mrs. Myles Byrnes, Midland, Md.; Mrs. John Donahus (sic Danahey), Lonaconing; 
Mrs. Thomas Mullin, (sic Mullen), Piedmont, W, Va.; Mrs. Henry Wheger (sic Weger), 
Baltimore; Misses Clara, Margaret, Christina and Adaline (sic-Adelaide) Ricker, 
Lonaconing; John Ricker, Piedmont, and Fred Ricker, of Bridgeport, Ohio."
