FROSTBURG-Martin A. Rooney, 72, Washington, D.C., a native of 
Frostburg, died yesterday at Prince Georges County Hospital.  
A retired civilian employee at the Bolling Air Force Base, 
he was the son of the late Michael and Ellen (Barry) Rooney.  
He is survived by a brother, Francis Rooney, Frostburg, and 
five sisters, Miss Mary C. Rooney, Mrs. Helen Cain, Mrs. Joseph 
Finn, and Mrs. Lawrence A. Barry, Sr., all of Frostburg, and 
Mrs. Catherine Lewis, Eckhart.  The body will be at the Hafer 
Sowers Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 
and 7 to 9 p.m.  Requiem mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 
a.m. at St. Michael's Church.  Burial will follow in the parish 
cemetery.
