Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland 5 Aug 1975: 
"Westernport-Mrs. Mary R. Ross, 74, of Barton, died this morning 
in Cumberland's Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient 
three days.  She was born in Westernport and was preceded in 
death by two husbands, William Bedal, and Walter Ross, who died 
in 1969.  Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Margaret Robinson, 
McCoole, and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be 
received at Boal Funeral Home here, tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 
to 9 p.m.  Services will be conducted in the funeral home 
Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Malone, pastor of Barton 
United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will be in 
Philos Cemetery."
