Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 14 Nov 1945: 
"Lonaconing--Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 
o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Alonzo Miller, Pekin, 
for Mrs. Catherine Rowe, 85, widow of Frederick Rowe, who 
died yesterday at the Miller home.  She had been ill three 
months.  The Rev. Stanley Jewell, pastor of Barton 
Presbyterian Church will officiate and interment will be in 
Allegany Cemetery.  Mrs. Rowe was the former Catherine 
Miller, daughter of Samuel and Charlotte Miller. She is 
survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alonzo Miller, of Pekin, and 
Mrs. George Brannon, of Barton; two step-daughters, Mrs. 
Frank Rizer and Mrs. R. H. Willison, of Cumberland; two 
step-sons, Benjamin Rowe and Uriah Rowe, of Frostburg; a 
sister, Mrs. William Beeman, of Pekin, and ten grandchildren."
