FLOYD RUPPENTHAL BERKELEY SPRINGS – Mrs. Melvie R. Ruppenthal, 74, of here, died this morning in Kings Daughter Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va. A native of Stotler’s Crossroad, she was born December 11, 1888, a daughter of the late H. B. and Catherine (Batt) Hovermale. Her husband, Floyd H. Ruppenthal, died in December of 1950. She was a life-long member of the EUB Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carl Newbraugh, Pikeside, W.Va., and Mrs. Lewis Allemong, of here; two brothers, Herber B. and Ward Hovermale., both of here; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Wilson, of here; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body is at the residence where it will remain until 1 p.m. on Thursday when it will be taken to the First EUB Church here for services at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. James A. Swain will officiate and interment will be in the Greenway Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Virgil Ruppenthal, Hammond Shriver, Lacy McCoy, and Melvin, Benton and Vernon Wilson. The family requests that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to the WSWS Missionary Society of First EUB Church.
