"The Cumberland News" Cumberland, Maryland, Tue 10 Oct 1967: "
Westernport-Mrs. Mary Louise Ryan, 83, Franklin, died yesterday at Potomac Valley Hospital, 
Keyser, where she had been a patient nine days. Born in Westernport, she was a daughter of 
the late Michael and Mary (Morgan) Dailey and was the widow of Ira Ryan. She was a member 
of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the sodality. Surviving are three sons, Richard, Leo, 
and Emmett Ryan, here; a daughter, Mrs. Edmund Niland, Piedmont; nine grandchildren and 
two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Boal Funeral Home where friends will be 
received after 3 p.m. today. Requiem mass will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. 
Peter's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery."
