MRS. BESSIE BLAIR SCOTT
MIDLAND – Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Blair Scott of Fairmont, W. Va., who 
died last Saturday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Thelma Reed, 125 Sterling 
Road there, were held at the Frey Funeral Home in Fairmont on Tuesday.  
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Rev. Frank L. Shaffer, Jr., Methodist minister officiated.  Mrs. Scott was a 
member of Methodist Church, the WSCS and the Ladies Bible Class.
Mrs. Scott was the widow of the late Highland Scott, formerly of Cumberland.  
She was a native of Elk Garden, W. Va., the only daughter of the late John and 
Jennie (Stuart) Blair who moved to Midland in 1905. She is survived by another 
daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Reed, Sr., Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren and six 
brothers.
