Mrs. Mary A. Shaffer

Mrs. Mary Agnes Shaffer, 64, of Bowling Green, died yesterday, shortly 
after being admitted to Sacred Heart Hospital.  She had been in failing 
health two years.

Born in Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary 
(Barry) Mills.  Mrs. Shaffer was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic 
Church; the Sodality of the parish; Court Cardinal Gibbons; Catholic 
Daughters of America and the Royal Neighbors.  

Surviving are a son, Theodore W. Gray, of this city; two daughters, Mrs. 
Joseph Jenkins, Potomac Park, and Mrs. L. Collier Paggi, Austin Texas; 
three sisters, Mrs. L. A. Benner, Utica, N. Y., and Mrs. Helen Johnson 
and Mrs. Thomas B. Cumisky, Sr., both of this city, and four grandchildren.  

The body is at the George Funeral Home, where the Sodality will recite 
the rosary Sunday at 8:15 p.m.
