Mrs. Shields came here from Turtle Creek July 1, last year, and due to III health was unable to return to the home of her son, Joseph, with whom she had been residing. She was a native of Lonaconing and was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Walsh. At one time she taught school at Mt. Savage, Lonaconing and Ocean, giving up the latter position in 1896 to marry. Several weeks ago a sister, Mrs. Montrose McGinn, died at the same home. She was a member of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin and at one time was the leader of the choir of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Besides her sister here and Sister Cecelia Marie, Philadelphia, she is survived by two brothers, Edward Walsh, Clarksburg, W. Va., and Joseph Walsh, Lonaconing; two sons, Joseph, Kerners, N.C., and Joseph, Turtle Creek. Five grandchildren also survive." Va.; Sister Cecelia Marie, Philadelphia, Pa.; Griffin McGinn, Washington, and John McGinn, Baltimore, were here for the funeral of Mrs. Margaret Shields."
