A native and life-long resident of this community, he was a son of the late George and Hulda B. (Redington) Sigel. A retired rural mail carrier, Mr. Sigel was a member of Buck Valley Methodist Church; Amaranth Post, American Legion; Warfordsburg Council 601, 100F, and the Warfordsburg Lions Club. Mr. Sigel was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Orintha Fay (Akers) Sigel; two brothers, Floyd Sigel, York, and Charles Sigel, Amaranth, and a number of nieces including Mrs. Virginia Shanholtz of Cumberland who was reared by the Sigels. The body is at the residence. Services will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at Buck Valley Methodist Church by Rev. Walter Twigg. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The Warfordsburg 100F and Amaranth Legion post will conduct graveside services.
