Cumberland Evening Times   June 12, 1919
      Miss Theresa Slicer, aged about 70 years, who was a resident of this 
city until April of last year, when she removed to Meyersdale, died Wednesday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. John Slicer from 
a general breakdown, after an illness of a week.  Her father John Slicer, 
lived in Cumberland years ago.  Miss Slicer was the last of her family.  She 
resided with her sister, Mrs. William Shafenberg in this city until the 
latter's death.  Her brother, the late William Slicer, conducted a hotel in 
Frosburg some years ago.  Mrs. G.E. Hammond of the Frantz apartments this 
city, is a niece of Miss Slicer.  Ther funeral will be held at 2 o'clock 
Friday afternoon from the home in Meyersdale with burial in Union Cemetery.
