Evening Times, Cumberland, 22 Sep 1941: 
"Patsy Spano, 27, of Piedmont, W. Va., died last night 
at Memorial Hospital where he was admitted September 16.  
A son of Mrs. Carmela Spano, 69 Hampshire street, 
Piedmont, and the late Frank Spano, he was born in 
Caulonia, Italy, but came to the United States when six 
years old.  He was coach of basketball at St. Peter's 
High School, Westernport, for two years and served a 
year as life guard in Piedmont. He was a member of St. 
Peter's Catholic Church.  Besides his mother he is 
survived by four brothers and two sisters: Nick, Keyser; 
Dominick, Piedmont; James, still residing in Italy, and 
Joseph, address unknown; Mrs. Theresa Patterson and Mrs. 
Mary Arillo {sic-Riolo} , both of Piedmont."
