March 28, 1965 Pg. 9 Keyser - Michael T. Staggs, 83, a native of Keyser and a retired farmer, died yesterday in the Weeks Nursing Home at Oakland. He had been ill two years. He was a son of the late William E. and Catherine (Fleek) Staggs. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hazel (Ralston)Staggs; a daughter, Mrs. Lilly K. Smith, Keyser; three step daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Smith and Mrs. Dorothy Miller, both of Keyser; Mrs. Bessie Evans, RD 4, Keyser; two step-sons, James Spurling and Charles E. Spurling, both of Keyser; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Bailey, RD 2, Keyser, and Mrs. Jennie Ellifritz, New Creek; a brother, William E. Staggs, RD 1, Keyser and two grandchildren. The body is at the Rogers Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The body will be taken to the Keyser Assembly of God Church on Monday at noon where services will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. R. C. Lymburner officiating. Interment will be in Cabin Run Cemetery.
