"Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, 8 Sep 1964: "
John T. Stakem, Hyattsville, died yesterday at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser. 
A son of the late Richard and Winnie Stakem, he was born in Lonaconing. Surviving 
are his widow, Mary (Winner) Stakem, three daughters, Theresa Ann Stakem, 
Hyattsville; Mrs. Mary Lou Amerosa, College Park; and Mrs. Colleen Marcum, Landover, 
Md., three sons, Gerald Stakem, Arlington; John Stakem, Hyattsville, and Eugene 
Stakem, Cheverly, Md.; eight grandchildren; four sisters; Mrs. Marguerite Stakem 
and Mrs. Harold Duckworth, both of Lonaconing; Mrs. Winifred Twigg, Frostburg, and 
Mrs. Charles Ryan, Ohio; and two brothers, Frank Stakem, Lonaconing and Isaac 
Stakem, Midland. Mr. Stakem was an employee of the IBM Company, Washington and was 
a member of the Holy Name Society. The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home, 
Lonaconing. Requiem mass will be celebrated Thursday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's 
Church, Midland. Rev. John Fuller will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph's 
Cemetery..."
