(Derby) Stakem, 74, who died in the Allegany County Infirmary yesterday morning will be celebrated Tuesday at 9 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, interment will be in the parish cemetery. Born in Paradise, a son of the late John and Ellen (Cullen) Stakem, he moved to Cumberland following his marriage to the former Miss Adna Griffith. He and the late Edward Firlie operated a bowling alley on Virginia Avenue. Surviving besides his widow, who resides at 511 Cumberland Street, are two sons, Paul G., and Frank A. Stakem, both of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Ella McMahon, Midland, and Mrs. Patrick McGuire, Hagerstown and five grandchildren..." There is a photo with this obituary.
