MRS. JAMES STAPLETON
     Mrs. Catherine (Thompson) Stapleton, 84, a former resident, died in
Washington, D. C., yesterday morning.  She was a native of Frostburg and was
member of St. Patrick's parish during her residence here.  Surviving are two
sons, John Stapleton, this city, and Leo Stapleton, Washington, D. C., two
daughters, the Misses Margaret and Florence Stapleton, Washington; and several
grandchildren.  The body will be brought to Frostburg for burial.
