Robert E Starr died at the State Train hospital at 2 O'Clock this morning, aged 37 years. He was a member of the Cumberland police force at various times during the past 8 years, but at the time of being taken ill, a week ago, he was a Baltimore and Ohio Railroad brakeman, having gone to work for that company about 3 weeks ago. He was of pleasing personality, a good officer and was well liked. As a member of the police force he was very attentive and accommodating. He lived at 26 Emily Street and is survived by his wife and four children, Helen, Catherine, Regina and Robert E Starr Jr, a brother Wm Starr of Canton, Ohio and George Reid, a half brother in France. Irene, a daughter, aged 1 year, died Wednesday.
