Mrs. Elliot G. Stickley, 74, of 9B Fort Cumberland Homes, Cumberland, MD., was 
dead on arrival Monday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born in Barton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas James and Mollie Heron 
Smith. Her husband, Hite F. Stickley precede her in death.
She was a member of the Salvation Army. Surviving are a son, William R. 
Stickley, Cumberland; three daughters, Mrs. Nedra Dowden, Fort Ashby, WV; Mrs 
Carl Dorsey (Mary), Springfield, WV; and Mrs Betty Ellis, Martinsburg; a 
brother, Thomas H Smith of Oldtown Road; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Koch, 
Miss Margaret Smith and Mrs. Lula Rice, all of Cumberland, and Mrs. Melissa 
King, Upper Darby, PA., 16 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cumberland, where friends will be 
received from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A service will be conducted there 
Thursday at 2:30 pm by Major Ben Jones of the Salvation Army. Interment will be 
in Rose Hill Cemetery.
