STRONG George K. Strong, 85 died yesterday at his home, 716 Shriver Avenue. A native and life-long resident of Cumberland, he was a son of the late George W. and Mary (Hummel) Strong. Employed as a conductor by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, Mr. Strong had retired in 1937 after 50 years service. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Division 357, Order of Railroad Conductors and Brakemen, of which he had served as chairman for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Kern, Coulter, Pa.; a son, George H. Strong, Erie, Pa.; two brothers, Charles Strong, this city, and William B. Strong, McKeesport, Pa., and five grandchildren. The body is at the Kight Funeral Home. A requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church.
