A native of Rush, Md., (near Flintstone) Mrs. Strong was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ross. Her husband died in December 1942. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Joseph E. and Roy Strong, both at home, a brother, J. D. Ross of Washington, and a grandchild. The body will remain at the Hafer Funeral Home where services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Edwin W. Saylor, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. NOTE: I transcribed the article as it was in the newspaper and added the parentheses. The info on her parents is incorrect.
