Cumberland Evening Times  January 24, 1964
Herman E. Taschenberger, 83, of RD1, Oldtown, died yesterday at Allegany 
County Infirmary.  Born in Efert, Germany, he was a son of the late Carl and 
Maria (Kumer) Taschenberger.  He was a former employee of C & P Telephone 
Company.  He is survived by one brother, Ernest Taschenberger, North Branch, 
and several neices and nephews.  The body is at the Stein Funeral Home where 
services will be conducted tomorrow at 4 p.m. by Rev. Jacob C. Polk, pastor of 
Trinity Lutheran Church.  Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
