He was a son of the late Michael and Margret (Boal) Thompson. A retired employee of the Elevated Railroad Company of Chicago, he was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion and the Catholic Church in Chicago. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gertrude (Logsdon) Thompson, at home and formerly of here; two sons, Vincent Thompson and Edward Thompson, both of Chicago; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Margaret Fletcher, Mrs. Gertrude Sabin, Mrs. Genevieve McGuire, Miss Kathleen Thompson and Miss Rita Jo Thompson, all of Chicago; two brothers, Glenn Thompson, Piedmont and Nelson Thompson, also of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Ultsch and Mrs. Frank Huntoong, both of Chicago, and Mrs. William J.
