"Cumberland Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, 18 Sep 1944: 
"Westernport-A requiem mass for Mrs. Margaret Thompson, 79, formerly 
of Piedmont, W. Va., wife of the late Michael Thompson, who died 
Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leona Roth, Chicago, 
will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 
here. Interment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Barton. The body 
arrived here this afternoon and was taken to Boal's Funeral Home, 
Church Street, where it will remain until the funeral. Besides Mrs. 
Roth she is survived by six other children: Austin, Mervin and 
Nelson Thompson, and Mrs. Frank Huntoon (?hard to read) and Mrs. 
Alfred Ultsch (?hard to read), Chicago, and Glen Thompson, Piedmont. 
She also leaves a brother, David Boal, Barton."
