Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland 16 Apr 1946: 
"Frostburg-Charles Michael Tighe, 67, retired coal miner, died 
suddenly yesterday afternoon while working in the garden of his 
niece, Mrs. Clara Morgan, of Midlothian, with whom he made his 
home.  Failing health forced him to retire two years ago.  Mr. 
Tighe was a native of Midland and a son of the late John C. 
Tighe.  Besides his niece, he is survived by a brother, Thomas 
Tighe, of Midland, and a sister, Mrs. Ellen Chambers, of 
Sunnyside, near Mount Savage.  The body is at the Hafer Funeral 
Home. A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow morning at 10 
o'clock at St. Michael's Catholic church with interment in the 
church cemetery."
