Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 14 Apr 1952: 
"MIDLAND-John Tighe, 55, Paradise Street, died early this morning 
at Newton D. Baker VA Center, Martinsburg. W. Va., where he had 
been a patient the past three months.  A veteran of World War I, 
le was born here a son of the late Dora (Stevenson) and Thomas 
Tighe.  Mr. Tighe was an employe of the Celanese Corporation of 
America.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lena (Winters) Tighe: a 
daughter, Mrs. Walter Davis, Johnstown, Pa.; two sons, Arthur and 
Raymond Tighe, both of here; five sisters, Mrs. Len Carnahan, New 
Kensington, Pa.; Mrs. Catherine White,Hamilton, Ohio; Miss 
Alberta Tighe, Sykesville, and Mrs. Robert Hunt and Mrs. Mildred 
Ross, both of Midand, and a brother, James Tighe, San Francisco.  
Funeral arrangements are incomplete."
