Evening Times, Cumbrerland, Maryland, 30 Mar 1909: 
"Funeral of John Toole--John Toole, an aged citizen of Barton, 
who died there last Saturday, was buried yesterday morning from 
St. Gabriel's Church, in Barton.   Interment was made in the 
Catholic cemetery at that place. Deceased leaves one daughter, 
Katherine, his only other living relative being a cousin, 
Charles Toole, of Lonaconing.  Mr. Toole had been afflicted 
many years with miners' asthma, which disease was the cause of 
his death.  He was a native of Ireland, which country he left 
in his early manhood."
