Cumberland Evening Times   March 5, 1941
   Bedford, Pa., March 5 --Samuel G. Walker, 91, retired Somerset County 
farmer and livestock dealer, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. 
Forest Bittner of New Buena Vista, Bedford county.
      Funeral services will be held at 2, Thursday afternoon with burial at 
Schellsburg.
      Mr. Walker was born at Wellersburg, a son of the late George G. and Sara 
(Cook) Walker.  For many years he operated a farm in Allegany Township, 
Somerset county and was active in livestock trading.  He is survived by these 
children: George A. Walker, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Bittner, New Buena Vista, and 
Mrs. Clarence Smith, Mann's Choice.  He was a brother of Mrs. Minerva 
Shoemaker, Bedford. His wife, the former Henrietta Hilgass died a number of 
years ago.  Mr. Walker was a member of the Reformed church.
