Mrs. Welsh was the widow of John Welsh, who died about twenty one years ago. They were old residenters of this section. She had been ill for about six weeks and was unconscious for the past three days. Three daughters and one son survive: Mrs. Sara Latham and Mrs. Catherine Norris, of Baltimore, and Mrs. Agnes Schaffer and Chas. Welsh of Westernport. Funeral services will be held Monday morning from St. Peter's Catholic Church." "The Piedmont Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 12 Oct 1928: "The funeral of Mrs. Agnes {nee McDade} Welsh, aged 78 years, who died Thursday night of last week at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. Roland Schaeffer, on Maryland Avenue, was held Monday morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Rev. Francis P. Ryan celebrated and Rev. A. Scarpati was in the sanctuary. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery. The pallbearers were Vincent Kelly, Joseph Carney, Thomas Collins, Michael Sullivan, Henry Guy and Thomas Dolan. Relatives here to attend the funeral were: Mrs. Catherine Norris, Mrs. Sarah Latham and daughters, Mary and Margaret, of Baltimore; Miss Meta Crawford and brother, Paul, of Hagerstown; Mr. and Mrs. John Kelly and Mrs. Chas. Sullivan, of Akron, O; Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. Ellen McDade and sons, Jeremiah and Francis, of Frostburg; Charles McDade, of Cumberland."
