"The Piedmont Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 22 Sep 1911: 
"Mr. Peter Welsh, Jr., died at his home in Barton, Maryland Friday 
morning, Sept. 15, 1911, after a prolonged illness, aged 40 years. 
He was born at Hampshire county, W. Va., and was the son of Mr. 
and Mrs. Peter Walsh. He is survived by his wife and one child; 
his aged parents, four sisters, Miss June, Mrs. Edward Winkler, of 
Barton, and Mrs. Nelson Wilburn and Mrs. E. J. Brady, of Masontown, 
W. Va., and one brother, James Welsh, of Westernport. The funeral 
took place Sunday afternoon from his late home and the remains 
Westernport over the Cumberland and Westernport Electric Railway 
where interment was made in St. Peter's Cemetery."
