A native of Lonaconing, she was a daughter of Mrs. Frank Dilfer and the late Frank Dilfer. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Simeon Whiteman; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Clapper, Bedford, Pa., and Mrs. Edna Ternent, of here; three sons, James and Paul Whiteman, both of here, and William Whiteman, Frostburg; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Fitzwater, Oakland; Mrs. Minnie Herbert, Westernport, and Mrs. Helen Craze, Cumberland; a brother, William Dilfer, of here, and 12 grandchildren. The body will remain at the residence until noon Wednesday when it will be taken to the Pentecostal Church, Front Street, for service at 2 p.m. Rev. Everett Hunt, pastor, will officiate, and interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
