Gardner Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Gardner, Bowling Green, took place in Westernport, December 28 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Rev. George Pugh officiating. The altars were decorated with poinsettias and evergreens and lighted with tall candles. Mrs. George Ord was organist, and Robert Fultz, was vocalist. They presented a program preceding the ceremony. Mrs. George Winner, Midland was matron of honor, and Jack Gardner, Corriganville, was best man for his brother. Robert Grimes, Cumberland, and Robert Rahn, Chester, were ushers. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Eugene Eagan, Midland, wore a floor-length gown of lace and nylon net over satin fashioned with a Sabrina neckline, fitted lace bodice, and long, pointed sleeves. The skirt was of sheared tulle and hand clipped Chantilly lace featuring back tiers of lace and tulle. The fingertip-length veil of French illusion, fell from a crown of lace ad pearls. She carried a cascade arrangement of white pompons centered with white orchids. Following the ceremony a reception was held at Jake's, where the decorations were in white mums and smilax. A four-tiered cake centered the table. The register was in charge of Mrs. June Krimm, LaVale. Mrs. Thelma Page, Cumberland, Mrs. Gertrude Eagan, Midland, and Miss Leona Garner, Washington, served the cake and presided at the punch bowl. The bride is a graduate of St. Peter's High School, Westernport, and of Frostburg State Teachers College, where she received her degree in education in 1953. She is a member of the faculty of High Point High School, Beltsville. The bridegroom graduated from Allegany High School, and after completing service in the Navy he was graduated from Frostburg State Teachers College in 1956. He is a member of the faculty of Gaithersburg High School. After a brief wedding trip the couple will reside in Hyattsville."
