All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ************************************************ Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 27 Nov 1912: "Maurice Lee, of Eckhart, and Miss Josephine Dailey, of Franklin, were married at a nuptial mass in St. Peter's Church in Westernport yesterday at 10 a. m. The attendants were Joseph Brown, of Frostburg, and, Miss Mamie Dailey, sister of the bride. The couple were married by Father Gallagher, assisted by Father Flood, and the wedding march was played by Miss Adrienne Malloy. The wedding festivities began at the Dailey residence at Franklin, as soon as the bridal procession returned from the church. Among the wedding guests were Fathers Gallagher and Flood, Messrs. William and Thomas Lee, of Eckhart; Joseph Brown, of Frostburg; Mr. and Mrs. William Lee, of Cumberland; Mrs. C. O'Rourke, Frostburg; Mr. and Mrs. George Dailey and Mrs. Margaret Dailey, of Westernport; Mrs. C. Dailey and Miss Clara Tippen, of Frostburg; Miss Agnes Collins, of Boston, Mass.; Misses Mary and Adrian Malloy, Misses Sallie and May Curran, Mrs. M. J. McGuire, Mrs. M. Murphy, Mrs. Thomas Murphy, and Mrs. Michael Cosgrove and many others. The Dailey residence, one of the largest in Franklin, was filled from noon until midnight with the Lees and the Daileys and their relatives and friends, who feasted and made merry. Mrs. Lee is the oldest daughter of Michael Dailey and a sister to George Dailey, the baseball player. The family has long resided at Franklin. Three of the bride's brothers are in business in Westernport, and the family is well known in Allegany county. The Lees are long residents of Eckhart, and the newly married couple will live there."
