"The Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Thursday 6 June 1957: 
" Miss Evelyn Deter, daughter of Mrs. Evelyn Deter and the late Harry Deter, 
Cumberland, and Raymond McGreevy, son of Mrs. Eva McGreevy and the late Joseph 
McGreevy, 23 Jones street, Piedmont, were married last Friday at St. Peter's 
Catholic church, Westernport. The ceremony was performed by Rev. George Pugh, 
assistant pastor. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart McGreevy, brother and sister-in-law of 
the bridegroom, attended them. The bride wore a pink nylon tricot dress of 
street length with white accessories and an orchid corsage. Mrs. McGreevy was 
attired in a light green dress with white accessories and a corsage of 
gardenias. After the ceremony, the couple left for a wedding trip to Wildwood, 
N.J. On their return Tuesday evening they were honored at a reception at the 
home of the bride's mother on Valley road. The bride is a graduate of Fort 
Hill high school and has been employed at Rosenbaum's in Cumberland. Mr. 
McGreevy is a graduate of Piedmont high school and Potomac State college. He 
is employed at the B & O shops in Keyser. The couple will reside at Cresaptown 
after June 8."
