McGreevy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McGreevy, Jones street, Piedmont. The ceremony will be solemnized at a nuptial mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church, Lonaconing, Saturday morning, June 7. Rev. Daniel Cummings, pastor, will officiate. Mrs. Gerald Hartley, Baltimore, will be matron of honor for her sister, and Robert McGreevy will serve as best man for his brother. The bride elect is a graduate of Central high school, Lonaconing and is employed by the Celanese Corporation. Mr. McGreevy attended Bruce high school, Westernport, and is attending Potomac State school, Keyser. He is a veteran of World War II, having served as a corporal in the Pacific Theatre. A reception will be held at the home of the bride after the church ceremony." "The Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Thursday, 12 Jun 1947: "Lonaconing Girls Wed Stuart, Harold McGreevy “Lonaconing, June 10- Two Lonaconing women, Miss Alice Knatz and Miss Marianna Logsdon, were married last week to Stuart and Harold A. McGreevy, brothers and residents of Piedmont. Miss Knatz's wedding to Stuart McGreevy took place Friday at 7 p.m. in the St. Peter's Catholic church rectory, Westernport. Miss Phyllis Rowan was maid of honor and Harold A. McGreevy was best man for his brother in the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Knatz, Baltimore and a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George McCormick, Lonaconing. Miss Logsdon, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Logsdon, Lonaconing, was married to Harold A. McGreevy in a nuptial mass celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic church, Lonaconing, by Rev. Daniel Cummings, pastor, Saturday, June 7 at 9:30 a.m. Mrs. Gerald Hartley, Baltimore, was matron of honor, and Robert McGreevy, another brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Mrs. Stuart McGreevy is a graduate of Central high school and is employed by the Ben Franklin Stores. Both bridegrooms are graduates of Piedmont high school, are veterans of World War II and at present are attending Potomac State school.
