February 16, 1941 Mrs. Jessie L. Herpich, 408 Hill street, announces the marriagae of her daughter, Jane Lee, to Richard A. Purnell, of Washington, D.C. on January 27 at the Mount Pleasant Congregational Church, by the Rev. Dr. Frederick Buschmeyer. A reception followed at the house of the bridegroom's brother, Irving Purnell, with sixty guests present. The wedding had been scheduled for next June, but Mr. Purnell was assigned to duty at Port of Spain, Trinidad, British West Indies, by the U. S. Engineer's Department and the ceremony was performed before he left. His bride departed Wednesday from Washington to board a Pan American Clipper at Miami, Fla. and join her husband in Trinidad. Her mother and her aunts, Mrs. Francis H. Schmitz and Mrs. R. F. Woolard, this city, were in Washington to see her off.
