The ceremony was performed by Rev. Edward P. McAdams. The brides' sister, little Miss Veronice Cosgrove, led the bridal procession, and was followed by the brides maid and best man, Miss Helen Cosgrove and Mr. Francis Cosgrove, sister and brother of the bride respectively. The wedding march was played by Miss Mary Hannon, organist, and during the service, Miss Lucy Louth, of Baltimore, a trained soprano, sang "Ave Maria." Miss Louth is a former resident of Westernport. The bride was charmingly attired in a heavily embroidered gown of satin, with court train and veil caught with orange blossoms. The dress was more than a hundred years old and had been worn previously by three brides of the Cosgrove family. The bride carried a bouquet of brides roses and orchids. Miss Helen Cosgrove wore a becoming dress of rose colored georgette with hat to match and carried American Beauty roses. The church sanctuary presented a beautiful scene, being elaborately decorated with ferns, rhodendron, (sic) hydrangeas and candles. Following the ceremony a sumptuous dinner was served at the Cosgrove home to the members of the wedding party, and the immediate relatives and friends. The couple left by automobile for Cumberland, where they entrained for Asbury Park, N.Y. They will also visit in New York and Philadelphia. On their return they will take up their residence in one of the new houses of the W. Va. Pulp & Paper Co. on Maryland avenue, Westernport. The house has already been attractively furnished for their occupancy. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Cosgrove, of Westernport, and Mr. Ryan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ryan, of Ashfield street. He holds a responsible position in the coating mill of the plant of the W. Va.
